Holiday Wreaths Whirlwind…

TIs the Season ….wreaths say welcome.   For its’ Holiday Marketplace this weekend, the Berkshire Botanical Garden runs a three day wreath making workshop.

For creative hands, it is a dream of pinecones, seedpods, dried pomegranates, coffee bean pods, magnolia seed heads and much more gathered for us from the Garden.

….. ribbons of every width and hue… plus ornaments, bells, fruits, and all sorts of tools to work with.

New this year, each designer works on an easel.

This makes a huge difference, allowing the designer to see the design as it will hang while it is being made.

Once the wreaths are finished, they hang on a variety of stands.

Doors of all kinds are used for staging.  At the end of three days, seventy-five wreaths are ready for the marketplace.

Designers were invited to create distinctive one-of-a-kind wreaths for the Patron’s Preview.  If you are near Stockbridge, MA this weekend, stop by the Berkshire Botanical Garden and see wreaths and much more.
