flowerflinging:Summerflowerflinging:Summer, my book about a special season of design, was announced in the post of September 25th.  It has now spawned a 21stC cousin.

ebook layoutIt is now available as an ebook. Are ebooks considered published?  Who knows? The book is exactly the same as the soft cover but slightly adjusted for the computer format.

Two-dish designflowerflinging:Summer features the archive posts of the Summer of 2012 when flowerflinging began.  Among the chapters is “Two-dish design” taught at the Berkshire Botanical Garden, step-by-step instructions are shown to create this and other designs.

Celery jar on kitchen tilesIn another ‘chapter’: Celery was a rarity in Victorian times so celery jars were featured on a sumptuous dining table.  I have a small collection of mainly cut-glass versions.  Here I’ve tried to use the celery as part of an arrangement….a kind of kitchen joke.  Sadly only home-grown celery still will have its lovely leaves.  Big agriculture whacks them off.

Don't kiss the flower frogBoth book versions include the drawings and photographs for all the designs.  Check it out in the box on the right on the website!
